There hasn't been much news about Nelly Furtado lately but recently she has leaked on her twitter that she's working on a new song with Nas. Nelly Furtado is famous for collaborating with Timbaland on various songs like Promiscuous. Hopefully she will pump out another Hip Hop single.
Speaking of Hip Hop; Rap is similar to Hip Hop and there are some hot new Rap songs out right now. There is Mann's new single "Buzzin" which is very easy to get stuck in your head; in a good way though. Katy Perry has just came out with a new single that is already stirring up controversy. The name of the song is "Peacock" and the way she sings it sounds awfully dirty. Hopefully these hot artists keep pumping out new singles to jam out to.

Disney has assembled a group of celebrity musicians to create the soundtrack for it's new 3D animated film . The line-up of famous singers includes pop icons Elton John, Lady Gaga and Nelly Furtado. Some of Elton John's greatest hits including duets that he will perform with Lady Gaga ("Hello, Hello") and Nelly Furtado ("Crocodile Rock"), along with the classic tracks "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting", "Don't Go Breaking My Heart", "Love Builds a Garden", "Your Song", "Rocket Man", "Tiny Dancer", and "Bennie and the Jets" will all be found on this soundtrack as well.
In addition there will be a few original songs by the legendary composer James Newton Howard. The film itself is modelled after the classic Shakespeare play Romeo and Juliet, but with garden gnomes. James McAvoy will be the voice of Gnomeo, while Emily Blunt will do the voice of Juliet.

Nelly Furtado, the famous singer just earned a lot of brownie points in the eyes of the world for she now plans to donate the One million dollars which she received as payment when she performed for the Gadhafi family in 2007. She tweeted this on Monday.
Furtado released a greatest hits compilation called The Best of Nelly Furtado in November, 2010. Though critics like the album, it couldn't live up to her previous work and sales. Nonetheless she still is happy with whatever it did.
Furtado's claim to fame was her single I'm like a bird which got her the Grammy in 2000, this was from the album Whoa Nelly. After that she came out with hits after hits and is quite a well respected singer now.
