Canadian Band Featured in Nelly Furtado Song Has a New Album
The Montreal-based band Josh made headlines when they were chosen to collaborate on the Nelly Furtado song Powerless, and now the band is back again with a follow up to their last album Mausam which was released in 2006.
They spent the five years in between performing on the road all over the world, which left them little time to get into a studio and perform a new album. They did work on their music continuously,though, and have recorded about 25 songs over that time of which eight have been selected for a new album. Band member Rup says that the new album has a very modern vibe, with some unique sounds and simple Punjabi lyrics as well. Though the bad has released three albums, their most famous song still remains Powerless.
